Centurion Club in St Albans was the venue as Adventys UK hosted our first-ever Golf Day last Wednesday.
Despite the initial postponement due to the unpredictable British weather, we were thrilled to see the event unfold with great success. The day was filled with networking, friendly competition, and support for Help For Heroes, a charity close to our hearts. The six teams played in a stableford format, promoting teamwork, strategic play, and most importantly, enjoyment. The atmosphere was friendly, but also charged with competitive spirit as teams took part in various challenges, such as the longest drive and closest to the pin contests. The air was filled with laughter as teams tackled the course, celebrating impressive shots and chuckling at the occasional stray drive.
The day wrapped up with a dinner and awards ceremony, where both team and individual champions were celebrated. Andy Sexton (Certa Service), Max Smith (Hoshizaki), Glenn Roberts (Winterhalter), and Jayson Ball (Salix) claimed the top spot with an outstanding score of 94. Winners for the closest to the pin competitions included Ryan Clark (Aggora), Richard White (Berkeley Projects), Jordan Hutchings (Select Catering Fabrications), and Glenn Roberts (Winterhalter). Additionally, Matt Black (South East Commercial Kitchens) earned accolades for the longest drive.
We are eagerly looking forward to hosting this event again next year to continue nurturing a sense of community amongst our team and partners. Big thanks to Sean Carmichael and the Rational UK team for sponsoring the nearest the pin competition and to the staff at Centurion Club for their dedicated hospitality, making the day a truly remarkable experience.
